# Lisk Chain Claims

Everything you need to know regarding the Lisk Chain Closure.

The Lisk Chain shut down on 2 November 2026. This page covers assets left on the Lisk Chain and legacy LSK from the Lisk L1 chain.

### Assets left on the Lisk Chain

#### What happened to the Lisk Chain?

The Lisk Chain, the Ethereum layer 2 network Lisk operated, shut down on 2 November 2026. The Lisk Portal and Lisk Bridge are closed. Lisk continues as the modern finance platform for businesses, and LSK continues as its loyalty token, on Ethereum.

#### I still have assets on the Lisk Chain. Can I claim them?

We plan to introduce a manual claims process in January 2027, and will share more details on this page then.

#### Is LSK on Ethereum or on an exchange affected?

No. LSK held on Ethereum or on an exchange was not affected by the shutdown.

#### What happens to unassigned staking rewards?

After the shutdown, the unassigned LSK left in the staking rewards pool will be burned. This further reduces LSK's total supply, following the 100 million LSK burn in September.

### Legacy LSK from the Lisk L1 chain

#### I held LSK on the Lisk L1 legacy chain and never claimed it. Can I still claim it?

No. The claim window closed on 21 May 2026, so legacy LSK can no longer be claimed or reimbursed.

#### Does this apply to me?

It applies if your LSK was at a legacy L1 address (numbers ending in "L", used from 2016 to 2021) or an updated L1 address (41 characters starting with "lsk", used from 2021 to 2024). Addresses starting with 0x are on the Ethereum standard and are not affected.

#### What happened to the Lisk L1 legacy chain?

In May 2024, Lisk moved from its own Layer 1 to an Ethereum Layer 2, and LSK became an ERC-20 token. Balances were snapshotted at block 24,823,618 on 21 May 2024, and holders could claim the same amount one for one.

#### How long did holders have to claim?

Two years, from 21 May 2024 to 21 May 2026. The window and snapshot height were announced in April 2024.

#### Can I still claim, or be reimbursed?

No. Since the window closed, claims and reimbursements are not possible in any form, whatever the amount or the reason the claim was missed.

#### How do I check whether I claimed?

If you hold LSK in an Ethereum wallet or an exchange account, your tokens were migrated. Most exchanges handled this automatically. If your LSK only sat in Lisk Desktop or the Lisk Migration Wallet and you never submitted a claim through the Lisk Portal, it was not claimed.

#### What happened to tokens that were never claimed?

They were burned in 2026.

#### Can I still see my old account data?

Yes. Historical data is available through the[ Lisk legacy chain service](https://docs.lisk.com/lisk-l1/legacy-chain-service). It is a read-only record and cannot be used to claim.
